The Walking Turbans

I have been in many conversations with my sistren and brethren about this situation. For the longest, I thought that this was not a threat and that I should not be too concerned about this.
Thanks to a very dear friend of mine, I see how this situation impacts us as a people.
This has to do with people of other races and/or ethnicities embracing our cultures and ways of living. But not just my culture, I have seen this done in so many ways- but it all translates into bullshit.

Believe it or not, we were all born with certain skin tones, cultures and opportunities for a reason. Hate it or love it. You are you for a reason.
So we have (and I will sometimes use my friend's exact words) often 20-49 years old, white women, live in america, germany, sweden, denmark, norway, england, some african countries and wearing long gowns, skirts, always wear miles of long material wrapped in turbans...headwraps...

They always walk around loving only black men, and only want to give birth to brown babies...
This is not about interracial dating so don't misoverstand!

This is about those who walk around thinking they are African women when they are clearly not. This is about taking someone else's life and taking it to another level. Think about it....

You have these people who leave their materialistic, western life to "live in poverty" and with rasta livity ... it's like they are missing the whole point of what we try to accomplish.
They walk around talking bout BLACK SUPREMACY like they would have a qlue bout how it is to be BLACK. They are so damn brainwashed that they actually think that RASTAFARI is the only correct thing
they think they more AFRICAN than most african themselves.
This is not about exclusivity...The point is, yeah embrace us and uplift us - BUT, you don't have to BE us to be with us and to stand on our cause.

Let me give another example for those who still don't get it yet...I remember being a student in college...studying Spanish. Why is it that over 50% of the class were men or women (no matter what race) were there not to enhance their career and actually use Spanish in the work place but really they were totally "immersing" themselves in the Hispanic culture...marrying Latinos because they wanted "Puerto Rican babies"....give me a break!?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with learning about other cultures.
You can date/marry whomever you want to...just don't start talking like them, doing every single thing they do just to be accepted by them.
There is nothing wrong with participating in other practices...
but if you are clearly Asian...do not walk around claiming to be Russian...only hanging out with Russians and dating Russians.
If you are a black woman but only date white men...there is something seriously wrong with that picture.
If you are a white man but only date black women...again, you too may have issues.
A person who refuses to socialize, date, or live with other people who look like them may have some self hatred issues. How could you not live among people who look like you?!
If you were Latino, how could you try so hard to be Caucasion and to be accepted into that culture as a fellow Caucasion?! That's taking it too far and it's crazy...
So now I understand why rastas get heated at that! Here comes so-and-so the hippy who took one trip to Jamaica trying to tell them what's Rasta and what's not!
We were born with these attributes for a reason, so be you and don't insult others by trying to be "down."
